The Band

If you want to make it, first of all you need to start somewhere... The first step is the single most important one, the rest will follow.

Jeanine Vahldiek Band started in 2009... founded on a bridge in China. (No, not as dramatic as it sounds... ha,ha!!) I just noticed, that whatever I begun, I managed to pull off. And due to this (slighly amused) observation, I started to think about what I really wanted to do with my life - believing anything could come true.

And sure it was: music, music, music... I started to write my own few songs (on a untunable, horribly green guitar on this bridge in China) and slowly my vision started to take form...

Now, 2 years later, I am on tour with my Jeanine Vahldiek Band and it is as exciting and funny as I predicted it to be. But a lot harder as well. If you really want something, you "just" have to believe in it... every day again. That takes strength.

Kulturkneipe FloLaMa - Christiane Scherfig says:

You are really the absolut exeptional musicians:

Your wonderful music, your homogeneous voices, your mastery of your instruments... and all that so humanly-unspectecular, so soft-lovely, so very much needlessly  thankfull...

Our complete team 'boasted' the next day about what a wonderful concert they were aloud to experience!

Press News - Deutsche Mugge says:

And that is how we go on, different point of views... how can you play a harp different ways? This is what Jeanine Vahldiek on harp and Steffen Hass on percussion proved. A spherical music, going deep, dreamy, rhythmical, somehow different… und very very beautiful, somehow reminding of island… surprisingly… One is getting somewhere, going ways one didn’t actually want to go. The music is like a joint. “Irony” very beautiful, elflike, “Never Ever” with depth and “My Choise” sticks in your head as a wonderful love song… 52 strings of harp, harmonically taking you - making you scrutinize, just different… together with the Steffen’s Cajon… very cool gig… and if you remember, that those two are just playing together since 3 month… respect…
